4 arrested with 130,000 Yaba tablets in Ctg

Members of Rapid Action Battalion and a team of Department of Narcotics Control of Chittagong arrested four people along with around 130,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from separate drives in the port city.
The arrested were identified as Md Biplob Miah, 32, son of Amin Miah, of Savar in Dhaka, Md Sumon Miah, 28, son of Abu Taher, of Murad Nagar in Comilla, Rashid Ahmed, 60, and Farid Ahmed, 52, of Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar.
Acting on a tip-off, members of RAB-7 set a check post and conducted a drive in Nizampur area of Mirsarai upazila in Chittagong and detained Md Biplob Miah and Amin Miah with a microbus and recovered 124,000 pieces of Yaba tablets early Monday, said Mimtanur Rahman, senior assistant director of RAB-7.
In another drive, a team of DNCC arrested Rashid Ahmed and Farid Ahmed along with 5,800 pieces of Yaba tablets from Firingi Bazar area in the port city Monday morning, said Shamim Ahmed, deputy director of DNCC.
