Bangladesh Chhatra League on Monday night expelled 24 of its leaders and activists, including quota reform protester Morsheda Khanom who was allegedly tortured by Dhaka University’s Sufia Kamal Hall president Iffat Jahan Esha for joining protests on April 10 late night.
Ruling Awami League-backed student organisation Chhatra League president Saifur Rahman and general secretary SM Zakir Hossain on Monday night permanently expelled Morsheda Khanom, also Sufia Kamal hall unit vice-president and 23 others of the unit.
Chhatra League in a statement said they expelled the 24 leaders and activists as they were involved in ‘untoward incident’ at the hall on late night of April 10.
