Actor-director Alamgir’s Ekti Cinemar Gaulpo and Iftekhar Chowdhury’s Bijli are scheduled to hit cinemas across the country today.
After 15 years, Alamgir has come up with a new feature titled ‘Ekti Cinemar Gaulpo’ with an atypical story. ‘I’ve made the film after many years out of my love and affection for the film industry, which is now struggling for many reasons. It will depict the inside story of film industry like sorrows and joys in lives of the film stars,’ Alamgir told New Age.
The film stars popular actors like Aamgir, Champa, Arefin Shuvo, Rituparna Sengupta, Syed Hasan Imam and Sadeq Bachchu in lead roles.
‘All the actors gave their maximum output in the film. I request the viewers to watch the film going to cinemas during the Pahela Baishakh celebrations. I believe they will like the film and its playbacks also. One of the playbacks has been composed by Runa Laila,’ said Alamgir, adding that Ekti Cinemar Gaulpo will be released in 40 cinemas across the country including Star Cineplex, Jamuna Blockbuster and Balaka.
Iftekhar Chowdhury’s Bijli is claimed to be the first superhero film made in the country. The film stars local actress Bobby and Indian model-actor Ranbir.
Seasoned local actors like Ilias Kanchan, Ahmed Sharif, Misha Sawdagar, Amir Siraji, Shimul Khan and Indian actor Shatabdi Roy have also acted in the film, which has been produced by Bobby’s production company Bobstar Films.
‘Bijli is the first superhero film of the country. The film was shot at different locations in Bangladesh, India, Thailand and Iceland. I hope viewers will find the film entertaining’, said Bobby.
Bijli will be released at 70 cinemas across the country.
