An experimental film titled ‘Eti, Tomarei Dhaka’ (Sincerely, yours Dhaka) featuring the story and problems of Dhaka city is under process.
The film, which will be produced by Impress Telefilm Ltd, will comprise eleven different short films, directed by the same number of young filmmakers, on the theme of Dhaka city, said managing director of Channel-i and Impress Telefilm Ltd Faridur Reza Sagar at the launching ceremony of the film on Thursday.
Eminent filmmakers Nasiruddin Yousuff, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Taukir Ahmed and GIasuddin Selim, among others, were present at the programme held at Channel-i office in Tejgaon.
The eleven young directors are Golam Kibria Farooqi, Robiul Alam Robi, Syed Ahemd Shawki, Krishnendu Chattyopadhay, Mahmudul Islam, Mir Mukarram Hosssain, Nuhash Humayun, Rahat Rahman, Syed Saleh Ahmed Sobahan, Tanim Noor and Tanvir Ahsan.
Noted filmmaker Abu Shahed Emon is the creative producer of Eti, Tomarei Dhaka. Faridur Reza Sagar and Ibne Hasan Khan are the film’s executive producers.
The Eti, Tomarei Dhaka project will begin on April 15 with filming of the late writer Humayun Ahmed’s son Nuhash Humayun’s short film.
