Md Kamal Uddin Ahmad, director of audit directorate of Bangladesh Power Development Board, passed away at the Mugdapara Residential Quarters in Dhaka on Thursday.
He was 58.
He had been suffering from cancer.
Kamal is survived by his wife and two daughters.
His namaz-e-janaza was held on the WAPDA building premises and he was buried at the graveyard of Garibullah Shah Mazar in Chittagong, said a press release.
Kamal joined the PDB as an assistant director at the controller of accounts and finances directorate in 1987.
PDB chairman Khaled Mahmud expressed deep shock at the demise of Md Kamal Uddin Ahmad and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family.
