Cross section of people and Nepali students studying in Bangladesh on Tuesday evening took part in candlelight vigils in memory of the plane crash victims in Kathmandu.
Many held onto each other and wiped the tears from their eyes as they stood in silence at Central Shaheed Minar and Raju Memorial Monument at Dhaka University in the evening, a day after the deadly crash of a US-Bangla Airlines plane at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
At least 51 people were killed and 22 injured when a Bangladeshi plane crashed and burst into flames near Kathmandu airport on Monday, in the worst aviation disaster to hit Nepal in years.
There were 71 people on board the US-Bangla Airlines plane from Dhaka when it crashed into a field near the airport.
