The Uttara West police station in Dhaka has taken the two-and-a-half-year old daughter of the US-Bangla Airlines cabin crew Nabila Farhit to their custody after a general diary filed by her paternal grandmother.
Sub-inspector Arifuzzman told New Age that they took Inaya Imam Hiya, the daughter of Nabila Farhin, a crew of US-Bangla Airlines that crashed in Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday, in their custody.
He said they have called both the paternal and maternal grandmother of Hiya and would hand over her to their custody if they agree. ‘Otherwise the child will stay with us,’ he said.
Arifuzzman said they found Hiya at a restaurant in Mirpur.
Hiya’s grandmother Fatema Hossain Nabila’s residence being informed of the plane crash and found her residence locked from outside.
After failing to know the whereabouts of the child, they filed a missing diary to Uttara West Police Station.
