2nd Chittagong Open from March 21

The second edition of City Bank American Express Chittagong Open will be held at the Bhatiary Golf and Country Club from March 21 to March 24, it was announced on Monday.
A total of 126 professional golfers from home and abroad will take part in the Tk 50 lakh event.
The tournament is jointly sanctioned by Professional Golf Tour India and Bangladesh Professional Golf Association and has been approved by Bangladesh Golf Federation.
This is for the second time a PGTI sanctioned golf tournament will be held at the picturesque golf course in Bhatiary, on the outskirt of country’s second largest city Chittagong.
Ace Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman won the title in the inaugural edition in 2017.
City Bank is the title sponsor the tournament while KY Steel and BSRM are co-sponsor.
The tournament will be broadcasted by Sony Ten Golf channel.
The title sponsorship of the tournament was declared at a press conference at a city hotel on Monday.
Managing director and chief executive officer of the City Bank, Sohail K Hussain, additional managing director of City Bank, Mashrur Arefin, BPGA president Asif Ibrahim, event management firm Riz Events chairman Rizwan Bin Farouq, chief commercial officer Regent Airways Hanif Zakaria and BSRM official Abul Hasnat were present among others on the occasion.
