Bhawaiya festival ends in Rangpur

A three-day Abbasuddin International Bhawaiya Festival 2018, jointly organised by ministry of cultural affairs and Bhawaiya Sangsad, ended at Public Library in Rangpur city on Saturday night.
Around 150 Bhawaiya singers from Bangladesh and India performed in the three-day festival.
The closing day of the festival featured songs, dance recital and a seminar.
Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia MP was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Rangpur Zilla Parishad chairman Sofia Khanom and president of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce & Industries Mostafa Sohorab Chowdhury were present as special guests at the programme.
Cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor inaugurated the festival at Rangpur Public Library as the chief guest on Thursday.
Following the inaguration a colourful procession was brought out from the Public Library.
The three-day festival attracted a large crowd. People from all walks of life thronged the festival venue everyday to enjoy Bhawaiya songs.
