Woman leaders of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Thursday demanded necessary assistances and easy loan facilities to create new woman entrepreneurs in the country.
They also sought cooperation from authorities concerned to get collateral-free loans to start business.
The woman leaders also demanded necessary scope and facilities for the start-ups in division and district levels.
The woman leaders of FBCCI placed the demands at an institutional dialogue organised by the apex chamber on Thursday to observe the International Women’s Day at FBCCI Bhaban in Dhaka.

Afroze Chumki was present as chief guest while secretary of the ministry Nasima Begum and Jibon Bima Corporation chairman Shelina Afroza were present as special guests.
FBCCI president Md Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin), vice-president Md Muntakim Ashraf and directors Naaz Farhana Ahmed and Sharita Millat were present at the event moderated by director Hasina Newaz.
One of the woman leaders at the programme alleged that woman entrepreneurs were facing difficulties in getting bank loans.
In reply, Meher Afroz Chumki advised woman entrepreneurs of Bangladesh who were facing difficulties in getting loans from banks to take the matter to her ministry.
The minister urged people to come up with new ideas for supporting and encouraging woman empowerment, as she stated that the ministry was allocating budget in this regard.
Nasima Begum assured that laws regarding day-care centres were in the final stage and soon would be implemented to ease the pressure on the working mothers.
The FBCCI president assured of the FBCCI’s non-stop contribution to the growth of woman entrepreneurs.
FBCCI director Shomi Kaiser made a presentation on empowerment of women in Bangladesh.
