Information minister Hasanul Haque Inu on Friday said it is appropriate to keep BNP out of the state power for the sake of democracy.
‘BNP leaders remain silent on leaving Razakars but crying for the release of their corrupt party chief. Such situation is harmful for democracy,’ he said while talking to reporters prior to join a programme here.
In reply to BNP leaders’ allegation that the government remained silent about freeing Khaleda Zia from jail, the minister said it is best to keep those out of power who remain silent in removing Razakars from the party and raise voice for saving a corrupt person.
District unit president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal Golam Mohsin, its general secretary Abdul Alim Swapan and Poet Ziaur Rahman, among others, were present at the book cover unveiling ceremony.
