BAFA students perform at Shilpakala

Child artistes of BAFA stage a dance recital

Child artistes of Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts entertained the audience presenting dance recitals syncronised with popular children’s songs on Thursday at Music and Dance Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
President of Bangladesh Dance Artistes Association Minu Haque was present as the chief guest at the programme titled ‘Amar Bangladesh’.
Managing director of BAFA Sadia Islam Mou, dance artiste and director Abdur Rashid Swapan, director and vice-principal of BAFA Farhana Chowdhury and dancer and director Farhana Khan Tamanna were present as special guests at the programme.
The child artistes, also students of BAFA, staged seven group dance recitals and a dance-drama titled ‘Lal Sabujer Bangladesh’ at the show.
The programme began with a group dance recital synchronised with the song Phooley phooley dole dole.
The child artistes next presented dance recitals synchronised with songs like Projapati projapati, Moyan cholat cholat, Projapati e mon and Lal tuke tuke bou to the delight of the audience.
