NBR transfers six customs commissioners

In a major reshuffle in the revenue administration, the National Board of Revenue has transferred and posted six customs commissioners of different field offices including Moinul Khan, head of customs intelligence.
In a notification, the NBR on Sunday said that the offices of the six officers have been changed in an aim to bring dynamism in the revenue administration.
According to the notification, director general of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate Moinul Khan was transferred as commissioner to Customs Valuation & Internal Audit Commissionerate, Dhaka.
Khan was appreciated for his drive against gold smuggling and import of luxury cars with false declaration to dodge taxes.
He also played an important role at identifying smuggled gold and diamond of Apan Jewellers.
Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate, Dhaka (North) commissioner Md Masud Sadiq was moved to Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate, Khulna and Customs Excise & Vat Appellate Tribunal commissioner Zakia Sultana was posted to Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate, Dhaka (North).
Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate, Dhaka (West) Commissioner Md Shahidul Islam has been transferred as director general of customs intelligence, SM Humayun Kabir, commissioner of Customs Valuation & Internal Audit Commissionerate, Dhaka was moved to Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate, Dhaka (West) and Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate, Khulna commissioner KM Ohidul Alam was posted to Customs Excise & Vat Appellate Tribunal and placed to Internal Resources Division for next posting.
In another notification, the NBR promoted Customs, Excise & VAT Commissionerate, Chittagong additional commissioner Surash Chandra to commissioner in charge of Mongla Customs House, Khulna.
