Saat Bhai Champa made into TV series

Popular fairytale Saat Bhai Champa, which narrates the story of princess Parul and her quest to revive her seven brothers, who magically blossomed into seven champak flowers after they were buried alive by their jealous step mothers, has been made into a TV series with same title.
The 300-episode TV series, directed by Ripon Naag, will be aired on Channel i from February 28.
The premiere show of Saat Bhai Champa was held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation in Tejgaon on Saturday.
Information minister Hasanul Haque Inu was present at the programme as the chief guest. State minister for information Tarana Halim was present at the programme as special guest. Among
others, managing director of Channel-i Faridur Reza Sagar, head of news Channel-i Shykh Seraj and assistant general manager, marketing, Emami Bangladesh Limited Hasan Mahmud were also present at the programme.
The serial will be aired on Channel every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 8:00 pm from February 28. Besides, the channel will telecast a special episode of Saat Bhai Champa on February 23.
