A day after giving instruction to mobile phone operators to slow down internet speed, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission on Monday directed them to keep internet service undisrupted.
President of Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh MA Hakim confirmed the matter this morning.
As per the Sunday’s instruction, the operators slowed down internet speed for around 10 minutes on Monday morning. Later, the speed became normal again following the new instruction.
Earlier, on Sunday BTRC instructed mobile phone operators to curb the internet speed from 8:00am to 10:30am on the exam days from February 12 to February 24 and from 12:00pm to 2:30pm on February 18 in a bid to prevent question paper leakage during the ongoing Secondary School Certificate examinations.
