Jahangirnagar University-based theatre troupe Jahangirnagar Theatre staged Selim Al Deen’s Hat Hodai on Thursday at Selim Al Deen Muktamancho of the university as part of the ten-day inter-university theatre festival underway on the campus.
Jahangirnagar Theatre has orgnaised the festival to celebrate its 38th founding anniversary.
Six public universities and the host troupe will stage plays at the festival.
Hat Hodai, directed by Partho Protim, revolves around Anar Vandari, an old man in his sixties who lives beside a river. The play depicts the struggles of the people living in the coastal areas.
Anik Das played the character of Anar Vandari, while Nazmul Hossain, Nihat, Mou, Mohosina and Saikat, among others, played different characters in the play.
