The government on Wednesday appointed Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury, a career diplomat, as Bangladesh ambassador to Myanmar.
Manjurul Chowdhury, an officer of the 17th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service, joined foreign service in February 1998.
He is currently serving as director general of South East Asia Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka. He served in Bangladesh missions in Istanbul, London, Rome and Bandar Seri Begawan in different capacities.
Manjurul Chowdhury did his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in Dhaka. He also completed masters in geopolitics and global security from the University La Sapienza in Rome in Italy.
