Notre Dame University students stage play

Students of Notre Dame University Bangladesh staged an experimental play based on poet Aminur Rahman’s poem titled ‘Self-Willed Exile’ at a programme held on NDUB campus on Thursday.
The play, adapted and damartised by lecturer of NDUB English department Ahmed Tahsin Shams, was presented through recitation, shadow play and video projection.
Shahrear Rafi and Rose Adriana acted in the production.
NDUB English Club organised the programme to celebrate poetry. Besides experimental play, the event also featured recitation and discussion on poetry.
Vice Chancellor of NDUB Father Patrick Daniel Gaffney was present at the programme as the chief guest.
Six foreign poets including British poet Agnes Meadows, Cameroonian poet Joyce Ashuntantang, Egyptian poet Ibrahim Elmasri, Japanese poet Tendo Taijin, Taiwanese poet Miao-Yi Tu and Colombian poet Mario Mathor were present at the programme as guests.
Besides, local poets like Jahidul Huq and Aminur Rahman from Bangladeshi were also present at the event.
