The National Board of Revenue on Monday took the decision to facilitate the income taxpayers in filing tax returns and paying tax as the deadline for filing tax returns is fast approaching, said NBR senior information officer Syed A Momen.
The deadline for returns submission is November 30 with no scope of extension.
All the 649 tax offices including income tax zones and circles offices will remain open up to November 30 including Fridays and Saturdays so that taxpayers can file their returns smoothly, he said.
Officials of the revenue board said that there would be special arrangement including separate booths at each zone and circle for taxpayers for providing services from November 24 to November 30 like the NBR provided at weeklong income tax fair.
Taxpayers will get assistance from taxmen in filling tax returns and filing at the booths to be opened on the occasion of Income Tax Week to be observed on November 24-30, they said.
