Bangladesh scored 300-plus total against Sri Lanka only second time in their history when they made-320-7. Their highest score against Sri Lanka is 324-5, which they made in Dambulla last year. Friday’s total in their 300-plus score in one-day international overall.

With Friday’s win over Sri Lanka, Mashrafee bin Murtaza equaled former captain Habibul Bashar’s record of winning 29 matches as Bangladesh captain. Mashrafee took 52 one-day internationals to equal the record while Bashar did it in 69 matches.

Bangladesh’s 163-run victory against Sri Lanka on Friday was their biggest winning margin by runs in one-day internationals. Their previous biggest win was at Khulna in 2012 when they beat the West Indies by 160 runs.

Anamul completed his 1,000 runs in one-day international when he reached 31 against Sri Lanka Anamul, who made 35 before being dismissed by Thisara Perera, was 18th Bangladeshi to achieve the feat. He took 29 innings to reach the milestone, the fastest by any Bangladeshi to achieve the feat. Team-mate Sabbir Rahman later joined Anamul in 1,000-run club but he achieved the feat in 42 innings.— New Age
