BRAC Univ to take part in Int’l Inter-Univ chess

BRAC University Chess Club will leave for Malaysia on Sunday to take part in the 2nd GACC International Inter-University Chess Championship, scheduled to be held from January 21-27.
Dhaka Bank Limited will sponsor BRAC University for the tournament.
BRAC University are not complete stranger to country’s chess as they became runners-up in Inter-University Chess Championship last year and also finished top in Second Division Chess League.
Country’s first Grand Master Niaz Murshed has been working with the team as their coach for last three years.
The team consists of Shams Ud Duha, Sabbir Hossain, Mohammad Shakil, Nanziba Ibanth and Ejaz Husain, a blind chess player.
