An Indian comedy film titled ‘Jio Pagla’ and a world war 2-based Hollywood war film titled ‘Darkest Hour’ are going to hit cinemas across the country today.
Jio Pagla has been imported from India by Khan Brothers under SAFTA agreement which allows film export and import among the South Asian countries.
Starring popular Tollywood actors like Jishu Sengupta, Soham Chakraborty, Hiran Chatterjee, Bonny Sengupta, Shrabanti, Payel, Koushani Mukherjee and Rittika Sen, the film revolves around funny stories of a few bachelor friends who struggle to find a decent house for rent.
The film, based on a play titled ‘Joy Maa Kali Boarding’, will be released at around 60 cinemas across the country.
Darkest Hour will be released at Star Cineplex in the capital.
Directed by Joe Wright, the film stars Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill, and follows his early days as Prime Minister. The film also stars Ben Mendelsohn, Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James, Stephen Dillane, and Ronald Pickup.
