Four people, including two female Ansar members, were arrested on Friday in a case filed for seven girls fleeing from the government-run safe home at Farhadabad of Hathazari upazila in Chittagong.
The arrested were identified as female Ansar members Juthi Akter, 21, and Amina Roy, 35, and two maids of the safe home Kohinur Begum, 37,
and Nurunnahar, 35, who were on duty at the time of the incident said Hathazari police.
A three-member probe committee was formed to investigate the incident of fleeing of seven girls from the state-run safe home at Farhadabad of Hathazari upazila.
The committee had found negligence of the on duty female Ansars and staff members of the safe home.
The probe committee recommended taking four people into police custody for further interrogation in this connection.
Eight teenage girls aged between 16 and 20 years fled from the safe home run by the Directorate
of Social Welfare at Hathazari upazila after cutting grill of dining room of the safe home early Wednesday.
Later, a girl was found nearby the safe home.
