Four persons including two female ansar men were arrested on Friday in a case filed over escaping girls from a government-run safe home at Farhadabad area of Hathazari upazila in Chittagong.
The arrested were identified as two female ansars Juthi Akter, 21, and Amina Roy, 35, and two maids (Aaya) of the safe home Kohinur Begum, 37, and Nurunnahar, 35, who were on duty at the time of the incident said Hathazari police station.
A three-member probe committee was formed to investigate the incident of fleeing of seven girls from the government-run safe home at Farhadabad of Hatahzari upazila. The committee has found negligence of the on duty female ansars and staff of the safe home, said sources.
The probe committee recommended taking four people into police custody for further interrogation in this connection, sources added.
Eight teenage girls aged between 16 to 20 years fled from the safe home run by the Directorate of Social Welfare at Hathazari upazila after cutting grill of dining room of the safe home early Wednesday. Later a girl was found near by the safe home.
