The National Sports Council on Thursday announced a 31-member ad-hoc committee for the Bangladesh Hockey federation instead of announcing the schedule of a much-talked poll.
NSC also dissolved the previous office bearers as the elected committee ended its tenure on July 30 last year.
Abdus Sadeque, the general secretary of the previous committee, was kept in the same post but some officials including vice-president Shafiullah Al Munir, joint secretary Anvir Adil Babu, members Mamunur Rashid, Ariful Haq Prince were left out.
Earlier, NSC had suspended last year’s August 27 polls citing poor flood condition across the country and directed the then elected committee to run the federation’s activities ahead of October’s Asia Cup hockey in Dhaka.
