Prime minister Sheikh Hasina warned actions against irregularities during selling rice among the poor people across the country at Tk 10 per kilogram.

‘Lawmakers should verify the list of hard core poor who were listed for selling rice at Tk 10 per KG. If we found irregularities we will cancel dealership’ said Hasina, while replying to a question of ruling lawmaker Mir Showkat Ali Badsha at prime minister's question time on Wednesday at the parliament.

Rice selling at Tk 10 per kilogram will run for long time, added Hasina, who inaugurated the programme on September 7.

The cheap rated rice are being sold among 50 lakh poor families while each family would be able to buy up to 30kg.

The cheap rated rice would be provided to poor people every year during five months- March, April, September, October and November.

On the ninth day of 12th session of the 10th Parliament, the prime minister's question time took place at the house. The proceedings of the parliament began at about 5:00pm that was presided over by the speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury.
