Leading artistes present Tagore songs

Noted Rabindra Sangeet singers entertained the audience singing diverse genre Tagore songs at a programme held at Music and Dance Centre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Friday.
The programme, organised by Bangladesh Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Sangsad, featured performances by singers like Iffat Ara Dewan, Fahim Hossain Chowdhury, Rouquaiya Hasina and others.
The singers in solo presented Tagore’s songs on love, prayer, nature, patriotism and others at the programme.
Seasoned singer Fahim Hossain Chowdhury rendered popular Tagore song Puba Hawate Dey Dola, which the poet wrote glorifying nature and eminent singer Iffat Ara Dewan presented a romantic song of Tagore Tumi Robe Nirabe.
Earlier, singer Swapan Dutt commenced the show singing Tagore’s prayer song Andhajane Deho Alo. Next Nusrat Binte Noor rendered the song Sei Bhalo Sei Bhalo.
Mejbaul Ajam Manju sang Ami Hridayete Path Kentechi, Nasrin Rosy presented Olo Soi, Naima Ali rendered Bahire Bhul Hanbe Jakhan at the show.
BRSSS president Farhat Hossain rendered Tagore’s popular prayer song Keno Chokher Jole, while the organisation’s general secretary Mujibul Quayum presented Tagore’s love song Byathay Kotha Jay Dubey Jay to the delight of the audience.
