An activist of the ruling Awami League was killed in a bomb attack over factional feud at Chandrapur in Jhikargachha of Jessore at around 11:30am on Wednesday.
The dead was identified as Abbas Mollah, 40, activist of the ruling Awami League, said the police and locals.
Abu Saleh Md Masud Karim, officer in-charge of Jhikargachha police station, told New Age that the Awami League activist died on way to Jhikargachha Upazila Health Complex after being wounded by rivals over feud of two factions of the ruling party for a long.
He was wounded seriously in bomb attack at Chandrapur and died on way to the local health complex.
Police sent the body to Jessore General Hospital for post mortem examination after recovering it, the OC added.
No case was lodged and none was arrested in this connection.
