Nasir elected BMBA president

LankaBangla Capital Market Operations managing director Mohammed Nasir Uddin Chowdhury has been elected as the president of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association for 2018-2019.
BMBA newly elected members chose its president, vice-president, general secretary and treasurer for two years at its executive meeting held at a city hotel on Sunday.
The committee at the meeting also elected Grameen Capital Management Limited managing director Mohammed Ahsan Ullah as first vice-president, Green Delta Capital Limited managing director and chief executive officer Md Rafiqul Islam as second vice-president, MTB Capital Limited chief executive officer Khairul Bashar Abu Taher as general secretary and BMSL Investment Limited managing director and chief executive officer Md Riyad Matin as treasurer for two years.
The executive committee members include AFC Capital Ltd chief executive Md Mahbub H Mazumdar, Citizen Securities and Investment Ltd managing director and chief executive officer Tahid Ahmed Chowdhury, ICB Capital Management Ltd chief executive officer Md Sohel Rahman, IIDFC Capital Ltd chief executive officer Mohammad Saleh Ahmed, Midas Investment Ltd chief executive officer Mohammad Hafiz Uddin and Southeast Bank Capital Services Ltd managing director Md Abu Bakar.
