Solo show glorifies nature

Jahangir Alom has glorified nature in his solo painting show under way at La Galerie Alliance Française de Dhaka in Dhanmondi.
Jahangir has portrayed blossoming flowers, mysterious forests, red-orange rays of the setting sun in his displayed paintings at the exhibition titled ‘Uncaged’, which showcases a total of 50 paintings.
Apart from nature he has also depicted mystic bauls in a number of his oriental paintings.
He has captured the diverse expressions, moods and soulful ballads of nature in his painting titled ‘Mystic Romance of the Woods’, in which he has depicted a dense forest dominated by colourful trees.
Jahangir has also portrayed womanhood in some of his canvasses. In his painting titled ‘The Power of Femininity’, the artist has combined nature with womanhood.
The exhibition, which was inaugurated by
eminent artist Rafiqun
Nabi on December 1, will
remain open from 3pm to 8pm every day, till December 15.
