Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan sent divorce letter to his wife Apu Biswas arguing that the Dhallywood diva did not follow the ‘Islamic customs’, reads the divorce notice.
The notice also states that Apu Biswas did not even follow the ‘duties of an ideal house wife’.
Shakib also alleged that Apu went abroad with her boyfriend, leaving her 14 months old son Abraham Khan Joy locked at home with a house help, said Shakib Khan’s lawyer Sheikh Sirajul Islam.
The lawyer said Shakib Khan had sent the divorce notice on November 28 addressing to Apu Biswas’ permanent address in Bogra, present address in Niketan and to Dhaka North City Corporation’s mayor.
While disclosing her secret marriage of nine years with Shakib, Apu in a TV interview in last April said that she had converted from Hinduism to Islam just before their marriage on April 18, 2008 and took the Islamic name Apu Islam Khan.
But, the actress said she had not received divorce notice. She said she had heard about the disastrous news in media and could not even confirm it from Shakib as he was in India for shooting of a film.
Apu Biswas said she would decide the proceedings only after receiving the notice.
Dhaka North City Corporation official Mizanur Rahman also said he had not received any notice though.
