Noting that none is above the law, information minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Friday said the graft cases against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia are running as per law and court.
Inu, also the president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, made the remarks while talking to reporters after a view exchange meeting with party leaders and activists at Kushtia Circuit House.
Replying to a question from reporters regarding BNP’s demonstration across the country on Sunday protesting the arrest warrants against its chairperson, Inu said, ‘There is no political connection. The cases against the BNP chief Zia are running as per law.’
The minister, later, urged the countrymen to stay with prime minister Sheikh Hasina, leader of the pro-Liberation forces.
He also called upon the people to protect the country from any kind of conspiracy, communalism through boycotting extremist-friendly Khaleda Zia.
District JSD (Inu-led faction) president Golam Mohsin, general secretary Abdul Alim, leaders-activists of JSD and its associate organisations, were present.
