Rakib Hossain of Bangladesh reached into the final of the boy’s singles of Asian Under-14 Series Tennis Tournament after beating compatriot Emon Islam in the semi-final at the Ramna Tennis Complex on Thursday.
Rakib grabbed the first set by 7-5 points but lost the second set by 2-6 point.
Emon offered a great challenge in the third set but Rakib finally had the last laugh by winning the set by 7-6.
In the other semi-final, Maxwell Heward of Hong Kong beat Ranajit Sarker of Bangladesh by 6-2, 6-2 sets.
The boy’s and girl’s finals will be held today.
