Needing six runs off six balls, Dhaka Dynamites’ Jahirul Islam nearly made a mess in the last over during their match against Khulna Titans on Tuesday. Jahirul could not connect the first two balls of Carlos Brathwaite, which came at yorker length, and barely survived a run out on both occasions. He could somehow collect a leg-by in the third ball to give strike Mosaddek Hossain. But Mosaddek also had to remain satisfied with a single in the fourth ball, bringing the equation down to four runs off last two balls. Jahirul was not ready to add further twist in the topsy-turvy contest and attempted a reverse scoop in the fifth ball. This time he timed it perfectly and the ball beat a diving fielder at short third man to race past boundary rope, bringing the curtain down to a thrilling contest.
