Doob participates in Delhi fest

Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s much-talked-about film Doob: No Bed of Roses was screened on Sunday at Delhi’s Binaker House as part of Asian Film Category of the Delhi International Arts Festival.
The film is participating in the Asian Film Category of the festival, which continues from November 11 to November 25 in Delhi. It has been jointly organized by Cultural Affairs Ministry of India and Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
A Bangladesh-India joint venture, Doob, starring Bollywood star Irrfan Khan and popular actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha, revolves around a filmmaker, his extramarital affair with his daughter’s friend and his complicated relationship with his wife.
The film was released in Dhaka on October 27. Earlier, it competed at the Main Competition round of the Shanghai International Film Festival in June. The film won Kommersant Weekend Prize participating at 39th Moscow International Film Festival. It also participated in other festivals, including Vancouver International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival and South Asian Film Festival, Paris.
