Eminent Nazrul singer Khairul Anam Shakil entertained the audience by singing popular Nazrul songs at a solo show held at Sufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum.
Shakil presented diverse Nazrul songs including raga-based, folk-inspired and other songs of the poet at the show, which was organised by Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre.
The singer commenced the programme singing popular Nazrul song Tomar Akhir Moto and presented songs like Keu Bholena Keu Bhole, E Nohe Bilash Bandhu, Bhiru E Moner Koli, Priya Swapane Eso, Padmar Dheu and others.
Shakil spoke about the backgrounds of the songs and genres before performing the songs at the programme.
Khairul Anam Shakil, a special grade artiste of Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar, is vice-president of Chhayanaut and trustee board member of Nazrul Institute.
