Second-seed Rishabh Sharda of India clinched the boy’s singles title of the 31st Bangladesh International Junior Tennis Championship beating his compatriot Karan Srivastava in the final at the Ramna Tennis Complex on Saturday.
Sharda outplayed Srivastava with a straight 6-0, 6-1 set win.
In the girl’s singles final, Wanyi Zhang of China also managed a straight 6-3, 6-0 set win over Riddhi Ramesh Sharma of India to secure the title.
Indian players dominated both the boy’s and girl’s doubles with Kevin Patel and Aaran Zaver pair winning the boy’s doubles title with a 6-1, 6-1 set win over Aman Patel and Jaishvin Sidana pair.
In the girl’s doubles, Benarjee and Rachapudi pair beat Ramesh Sharma and Saik pair by 7-6, 6-2 set to grab the title.
State minister for foreign affairs and president of the Bangladesh Tennis Federation, Mohammed Shahriar Alam, handed over the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
A total of 106 players including 68 boys and 38 girls from 17 countries took part in the competition.
