The logo of Club NotreDamians Bangladesh Limited, a platform of former students of Notre Dame College in Dhaka, was unveiled on Friday.
At a function at Dhaka Club, NotreDamian and information minister Hasanul Haq Inu and Club NotreDamians president ASM Shahidullah Khan Badal unveiled the logo of the club.
After unveiling the logo, Inu wished that the club of former students of Notre Dame College would work for society, upholding the spirit of love, humanity and knowledge.
He hoped that the club, led by its dynamic and bright members, especially its president Shahidullah Khan Badal, would march ahead.
Congratulating the NotreDamians, Shahidullah Khan Badal, also publisher of New Age and its editorial board chairman, said the club would work as a social organisation.
He said the club was not just an alumni association of Notre Dame College, but it gathered the former students of the college together.
‘I hope being members of the club, we would stay together, hold our hands together and share our joys and sorrows together’, he said.
Before unveiling the logo, the club paid tribute to its deceased former teachers Benjamin D’Costa, Dwijen Sharma, James T Banas and Mokhter Ahmed.
The club also honored Notre Dame College’s long serving principal Father Joseph S Peixotto.
The club also observed one-minute silence remembering all the past students including the first prime minister of Bangladesh, Tajuddin Ahmad.
The function concluded by a cultural show and dinner.
