20 hurt in AL factions clash

At least 20 people were injured in a factional clash of ruling Awami League at Dhaloharachandra union of Shailkupa in Jhenaidah on Friday.
Dhaloharachandra union council chairman Motiur Rahman said that two groups of AL activists, led by Juba League leader Liton Miah and local AL leader Manik Miah, clashed over establishing supremacy in the area, leaving 20 people of both groups injured.
Of the injured, Manik Miah was sent to Dhaka while the rest received treatment at local hospitals.
Shailkupa police officer-in-charge Alomgir Hossain said that police forces were deployed in the area to avoid any untoward situation.
