JMB faction activist arrested

Police arrested an operative of recently formed faction of banned extremist outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh from Alenga area under Kalihati Upazila in Tangail on Sunday noon.
The arrested was identified as Abul Kashem, 22, son of the late Safil Uddin, a resident of Hujurikanda area of Nakla Upazila.
Rafiqul Islam, superintendent of Sherpur police, said almost 540 litres of liquid explosives material was recovered from Abul Kashem’s rented shop on October 5.
After that, Abul Kashem went into hiding and planned to go to Dhaka with his organization’s members, Rafiqul Islam relayed. .
