A two-day Math Olympiad, a mathematics contest for high school students, concluded on Saturday at Savar in Dhaka.
Jahangirnagar University Science Club organised the competition at Zahir Raihan Auditorium in the university.
JU vice‑chancellor Farzana Islam, as the chief guest, addressed the closing ceremony that was presided over by JUSC president Shahriyar Kabir Shohag, and attended by JU teachers AA Mamun, Khabir Uddin, Kabirul Bashar, Sharif Hossain and Fokhrul
The organisers accorded reception to the former vice-chancellor of the university Shariff Enamul Kabir and former chairman of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission Naiyyum Choudhury.
Around three thousand students from more than 60 schools of Dhaka district participated in the competition and a total of 75 students among them won prizes.
