One electrocuted, another found dead in Dhaka

A caterer was electrocuted at Mirhazirbagh of Jatrabari area and another transport worker’s decomposed body was recovered from his house at Darussalam in the capital on Wednesday.
Sub-inspector of Jatrabari police station Iqbal Hossain said 18-year old Akash Chandra Das, son of Pradeep Chandra Das, a resident of Dayaganj, was electrocuted while he was working at Mirhazirbagh for a wedding ceremony.
After the incident, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.
Meanwhile, police recovered the decomposed body of a city bus ticket counter man, Ziaur Rahman Khan Sentu, 44, from his house at Darussalam in the capital’s Mirpur area.
Sub-inspector of Darussalam police station Rabin Chandra Mandal said they recovered the body as neighbour informed them. Later, they sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
The reason behind the death was not clear, he said, adding that the cause of the death would be confirmed after getting the autopsy report.
