The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia will launch eight new departments under 2017-18 academic session, IU registrar office sources said on Monday afternoon.
The eight new departments are- Environmental Science and Geography, Pharmacy, Development Studies, Social Welfare, Human Resource Management, Biometrical Engineering, Tourism and Hospitality and Law and Land Management Departments.
IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif said that they would open the departments following the direction of University Grants Commission.
