A three-day music festival featuring songs composed and rendered by famous musician Sachin Dev Burman will begin tomorrow at Shawkat Osman Auditorium of Central Public Library.
Sachin Dev Burman Utsab Utjapan Parshad has organised the festival which will include music and dance recitals by local and Indian artistes, said the organisers at a press conference held on Wednesday at Liberation War Museum.
Cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor will inaugurate the festival, they said.
On the opening day, local singers Mamun Zahid Khan, Tansen Ahmed, Abida Rahman Setu and Indian singer Dola Bandopadyay will present Sachin’s songs. Indian troupe Nabanalanda will present dance recitals on the day.
The second day of the festival will feature performances by renowned local singers like Subir Nandi, Kiron Chandra Roy Sujit Mustafa, Chandana Majumder and others.
Local and Indian troupes will present dance recitals and dance dramas on the concluding day.
