Dhallywood stands by the Rohingya

Filmmakers, artistes make a human chain on Modnay for the Rohingyas.

Bangladesh Chalachitra Paribar, a platform of 18 Dhallywwod-based associations, formed a human chain in front of National Press Club on Monday morning protesting the ongoing genocide of the Rohingya people in Myanmar.
Noted actors Farook, Zayed Khan, Riaz, Ferdous, Shimla, Rubel, Misha Soudagar along with noted directors Amjad Hossain, Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, Badiul Alam Khokhon, among others were present at the human chain.
From the human chain, they protested the ongoing genocide on the helpless Rohingya people in Myanmar and requested the world leaders to step forward immediately to stop the genocide. At the same time, they praised Bangladesh government’s move to provide shelter around 4 lakh Rohingyas who fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar since August 25.
‘We are witnessing one of the cruelest executions of a Muslim community in Myanmar. We express our deepest shock at the genocide and we hope the international community to find a way to save the Rohingya,’ told eminent actor Farook, also convener of Bangladesh Chalachitra Paribar.
