Farida Parveen presents Lalon songs at BNM

Noted Lalon singer Farida Parveen, Samir Baul and others entertained the audience by singing Lalon songs at a programme held at the main auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum on Sunday.
Farida Parveen delivered an energetic one and half hour solo performance at the show.
The eminent singer presented mostly popular Lalon songs at the programme, which was organised jointly by Heraban Manab Sangha and Sadar Prakashani.
Farida Parveen commenced the show with popular Lalon song Satya Bal Supathe Chal. Next she sang the song Manush Guru Nishtha Jar at the programme. The song with its moving lyrics talks about upholding humanity above everything else.
‘Today we are seeing gross violation of human rights all over the world. At times like these we need to follow the simple yet profound messages of Lalon more than ever’, said Farida Parveen.
The singer presented Lalon songs like Somoy Gele Sadhan Hobena, Ekta Bad Hawa, Khanchar Bhitor Achin Pakhi, Barir Kachhe Arshinagar, Nigur Prem Kotha and others.
Next popular Lalon singer Samir Baul took the stage. Samir rendered songs like Ghare Ke Ba Ghumay Ke Ba Jagey, Kal Katilo and others much to the delight of the audience.
The three-hour show ended with performances by young Lalon singers.
