State-owned banks to appoint 1,663 officers

A total of 1,663 officers would be appointed in country’s eight state-owned banks.
The bankers’ selection committee on Wednesday floated the circular on the Bangladesh Bank website.
According to the chief of the bankers’ selection committee Md Mosharraf Hossain Khan, out of 1,663 officers 527 will be appointed in Sonali Bank, 161 in Janata Bank, 283 in Rupali Bank, 351 in Bangladesh Krishi Bank, 39 in Bangladesh Development Bank, 231 in Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank, 70 in Investment Corporation of Bangladesh and one in Bangladesh House Building Corporation.
According to the circular, if necessary, the number of officers could be increased or decreased.
Interested candidates with age limit highest 30 years on August 1 this year can submit their application through Bangladesh Bank website up to September 17.
The age limit for the candidates under the quota reserved for the freedom fighters and people with disabilities cannot exceed 32 years on August 1.
