After three successive wins in the 10th Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club played to a 1-1 draw with Rahamatganj Muslim Friends Society in their 4th match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.
With the day’s result, Jamal maintained their second position with 10 points and Chittagong Abahani are now enjoying the solo top position with 12 points while Rahamatganj advanced to third with seven points
Jamal took the lead in the 20th minute as a left footed shot of their Gambian forward Momodou Bah following a long pass from Enamul Haque found the net.
In the following minute, Asif Hossain Rimon leveled the margin for Rahmatganj by sending the ball home off a right wing corner of captain Naimur Rahman Shahed.
Rahamatganj managed a chance to take the lead in the 53rd minute but a left footed attempt by Shahed from the box, off a cross of midfielder Elias from the left, went outside edging the right post.
