The Anti-Corruption Commission chairman Iqbal Mahmood on Sunday said that the government officials were allegedly involved in the process of grabbing government land in Gazipur.

‘You people [government officials] should work to protect government’s land, ACC would take action against those people being involved in land grabbing and helping land grabbers,’ he said while addressing a views exchange programme with the district administration officials in Gazipur.

He said that the commission has filed cases against some government officials of Gazipur for their alleged link with the land grabbers as there are huge khas lands in the district.
