Jatiya Party (Ershad) lawmaker Kazi Firoz Rashid on Sunday said the diplomats working at Bangladesh missions abroad usually remain busy in rendering protocol to VIPs coming from the country.
They get no time for work, he said.
The VIPs who go to India, diplomats of Bangladesh remain busy in going sightseeing with them and taking photographs there, the lawmaker said.
Firoz Rashid, also the presidium member of Jatiya Party, made the allegations while addressing a seminar on ‘Cross border security: Challenges and cooperation, Bangladesh perspective’ at Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies in the city.
Discussants in the seminar urged the government to stand firm on Rohingya issue.
They also urged the government to play strong role for stopping border killings.
